Hawzah News Agency- Hojatoleslam Abbasali Babagolzadeh stated that decrees appointing the heads and secretaries of specialized committees under the Qom Arbaeen Headquarters have been prepared and officially communicated.
Speaking to reporters, Babagolzadeh outlined the extensive planning underway for the Arbaeen pilgrimage. He noted that since the start of the month of Ramadan, his department has been active in organizing pilgrim welfare services, coordinating procession groups—known as mawkibs—and distributing essential supplies. Commodities such as flour, bread, sugar, tea, and disposable cups have been provided to the mawkibs, with the cooperation of the General Department of Grain and Commercial Services ensuring the required bread and flour supplies.
He further announced that this week, in cooperation with the office of the Representative of the Leader for Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs, briefing and training courses will be held for the officials and executive staff of the Arbaeen mawkibs.
Pointing to Qom's role as a major transit hub, the official said the holy city serves as a highway junction for 17 provinces, hosting Arbaeen pilgrims from across Iran and even from foreign countries. These pilgrims, he added, frequently visit the holy shrine of Hazrat Masoumeh (Peace Be Upon Her) in Qom either before departing for Iraq's holy sites or after their return.
Babagolzadeh concluded by stating that in order to enhance synergy and cohesion among the province's executive bodies and public institutions, meetings of the Arbaeen Headquarters are being held. The aim is to provide optimal services to guest pilgrims in Qom during the Arbaeen period, and to ensure favorable service delivery by nearly 140 Qom-based mawkibs stationed at Iraq's holy shrines and border crossings.
